Dakota is growing so fast! She's 5 months old now, and is starting to do all those fun little things babies do. She's trying to sit by herself, but her bottom is still just too round! lol I had laid her on a blanket on the floor and came back to my studio to check emails real quick. When I came back in to check on her, she was totally facing the opposite direction! She scoots backwards! lol She loves to stand. I'll hold on to her little hands and try to have her sit down, and she locks those little chubby legs of hers so stiff, but I manage to get her down. She digs her feet in, and gets herself right back up into a standing position! She's so funny! I took this pic of her last week. She fell over right after I took the pic! lol (I had actually editted this pic--cropped it and took out the red eye, but for some reason it wouldn't load! :( Oh, well, she's cute even with red eyes! ) She even kept her hat on. I was surprised! She seemed to enjoy wearing it. Katie and Kelsea wouldn't have any part of a hat. As soon as we'd put one on their head, off it would come!
School started for the kids yesterday. They were glad to go back. I'm going to miss them, yet I'm glad my time is my own again. It's time for all of us to get back into our regular routine. Denny and I called them to see how the first day went. They had a good one. The girls got up early enough to straighten their hair. Katie bought a flat iron last week, so she does her hair and Kelsea's. It looked so nice when they did it, too. Both of them have wavy hair. I have no clue where that came from! I'm assuming they made the bus on time. That's usually a crap-shoot! They're always running late! lol Jacob said he had a pretty good day, too, so all is well! :) Now we just have to wait for our regularly scheduled tv shows to return. Then all will be right in my little world! lol
