A Slam Dunk!

It was another busy week this week! Jacob had a rough one, though! Let's see....he must be ready to go back to school, because he's doing things he just plain shouldn't be doing! Katie caught him in the bathroom playing with the toilet paper. Wadding it up, and slam-dunking it into the toilet! Of course it splashed water all over the place, so I had to clean it with a Clorox sheet! Then I had to use the plunger to make sure the toilet didn't overflow when it was flushed. Then he took the role and ran it under the faucet and ruined it. But he dripped water all over the vanity, so he's using the wet toilet paper to try to wipe it up! And of course, he does this when I'm low on toilet paper! lol He got a spanking for this little stunt. He must have been mad at me, though, because then he pulled another bonehead move. I had taken the sheets off of my bed to wash, but hadn't made the bed up. He'd been laying on the bed covered up with the quilt watching TV. Well, Denny and I went in to make it up, and I notice there was a chunk missing out of mattress topper on the edge. "Someone" had picked a chunk out of it! I have one of those memory foam toppers, and for a king-sized bed, those puppies aren't cheap! I knew he was lying to me when he told me he didn't do it. I can usually tell by the expression on his face. He then admitted it. Of course, I'm pissed by this time! I asked him why he would do something like that?! He said he was bored!!! I didn't spank him for this one, though he deserved it! There's just no sense, in my opinion, to deliberately tear something up! I just told him he had to go to bed, and there would be no TV or computer for him the next day! That hurt worse than any spanking could have!

Wed., Denny and I took Libby and the kids to the big city school shopping. Jacob was well behaved that day! lol They all were. Libby's boyfriend, Jerry, had given them each $100 to spend on school clothes, to get them started. They all made wise purchases. There's a store down here called Steve and Barry's, and everything is $6.98 or less. Everything! Jacob got a cool jacket, that's styled like a letterman's jacket, 2 pair of jeans, and some shirts, gym shoes, school shoes and underware! After Steve and Barry's, we took them to Kohl's. Love that store! The girls did pretty well, too, but I can't remember what all they got. Kelsea is a smart shopper, tho. She said she could mix and match her new stuff with some stuff she already had at home. Good girl! I know Katie did end up with a couple of pairs of shoes, and 2 hoodies. They stretched those dollars, got lots of stuff, and were happy campers!

While they were at Kohl's, we ran over to Wal-Mart. It just wouldn't be a day off without going there! We didn't get anything exciting. Just a few odds and ends, and of course, toilet paper! We went back to Kohl's to see how they were doing, and helped them shop a bit more. We finally left there, and went back to WM, so they could get underwear. By this time it's getting late, and they're getting hungry, so we finally leave, and make a quick stop at McD's, and head for home. By this time, everyone has to go to the bathroom. Jacob and Kelsea hit the bathrooms first, and of course, there's no TP in there. So Kelsea yells for Jacob to bring her a roll when he's done, and he's griping about having to do it. Know what she said to him? "Well, if you hadn't wasted it playing with it, there'd still be some in here!!!" LOL Gotta love her! lol
