Happy New Year!

It's been one heck of a year! And it's ending on a pretty good note, considering! lol I have a husband who's still in love with me, after all these years, a family who loves me with all their hearts, and friends who have made my life fun! I got to see old friends, reconnect with old friends, keep in touch with old friends, and have made new friends. My family is safe and healthy. We may not have all we want, but we have all we need. We are truly blessed!

And with that, I wish you all health, happiness, and prosperity in 2009. Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday, Dear Jacob!

Happy birthday, Jacob! Friday was his birthday. We went over there after Denny got off work and had some cake and ice cream and watched him open his presents. His Mom got him his favorite thing--a wrestling video! We gave him money. It's the easiest thing to do anymore. This way, he can pick out what he wants. I can't remember what we got him one year, but he informed us he already had it! lol It's like my Dad says--the size may not be right, but I know the color is! LOL

This is for you, Z!

Zenita said it's been too long and I need to update--she's bored! lol So this is for you, Z! It has been ages, hasn't it?! I don't know where the time goes! I was busy for months getting ready for 2 craft fairs. The first one went pretty well. The second one totally sucked! It was so disappointing! So I'm not sure if I'll be doing that one again. We'll see.
So now I'm busy doing my own stuff and getting ready for Christmas. I'm making my Christmas cards again this year, so today I cut out enough to make 36. Yikes! I'm doing something different --for me, anyway--this year--embossing. That's going to take awhile. But they're going to be so neat when done. I made one up, and I love it! Here's the stamp I used. I saw this a couple of years ago, but it sold out. So I finally ordered it this year. Isn't he gorgeous? I've seen a few really cool projects made with this stamp. One being a tag inspired by Tim Holtz. I love his work! So anyway, making cards is just for starters! Jacob's birthday is today--the pic in the background is him when he was 3--he's going to be 11! So I need to get his card made. And Audrey's birthday is next week and I have to make her card, too. Plus I have a ton of ornaments I have to make names for with my Pazzles and I have a several projects left to do. I think I cut it pretty close this year. I haven't missed a deadline--or a Christmas--yet, but this may be a first!
So this just brings me through this month. In January, I'm teaching a Teresa Collins class, and I still have to make the project. It's so cool, though! I just love her stuff! It's cutting edge, without being over the top! She's all about the journaling, so her projects always leave plenty of room for that. I don't journal that much, so I'll probably just put in a few extra pics! lol So after the class project is out of the way, I'm going to concentrate on doing pages for the grandkids--all 4 of them! I'm so far behind, I doubt that I'll ever get caught up. But I think what I'm going to do to speed things up, is just scrap the major events, like birthday, Christmas and things like that--not scrap every little thing that comes along. Then if I get caught up, I can throw in some extra pages. The girls ask once in a while if I've done any new pages of them, so I know they do enjoy my doing this. So that's my goal for at least until March or so--catch up on the kids' scrapbooks. Then I'll get back to making projects, which is my fave!
And....I've just recently gotten in contact with a special friend that I had lost contact with. This makes me very happy! It sucks to lose contact with people you care about, but things happen. Life happens. But I encourage you, if you've got someone out there you've been thinking about and haven't had contact with in a while--try to find them! It'll make you both feel good! :)

WW Update

Here's a close up of the door card I did for my class tomorrow. It really looks cuter in person. I spent half the day yesterday and all day today getting ready for class. Whew! I made notes so I wouldn't forget anything, then added some stuff I forgot to write on my note! lol With everything I packed, I can't possible imagine what I could forget!
I've been cutting stuff with my Pazzles for 2 days now. It worked great cutting out regular white cardstock. But when it came to cutting out patterned paper--all I can say is PITA! I finally got done a few minutes ago. I had wanted to work on some ornaments for the craft fair that I cut out yesterday, too, but no such luck. I'm not going to have much time to make more stuff, and I had a list of things I wanted to do. Oh, well. I'll start in Jan. or so and start working toward next year's show. That's what I should have done this year!
Anyway....had a good weigh in this week. I lost 2 lbs. That was after getting rid of what I had gained when we were in Dav. So that puts me at 39.4! I'm hoping to hit 50 by New Year's. I had first thought Christmas, but I think NY is probably more doable.
Have a good one! :)

I'ts Been Awhile--Again!

I guess so! I've been busy making stuff for 2 craft fairs. We had the first one Nov. 1 and it went pretty well. This was a first time event, so there weren't really many vendors there. A lot of "old lady" stuff. Like crocheted kitchen towels. And there were some arrangements, jewelry, embroiderey, etc. But Brandi and I had the coolest stuff, of course! lol It really was, tho! The day after the show, Denny and I left and went up to IA to have the estate sale from his Dad. That went pretty well, too, considering the weather was crap! Mon., Tues., and Wed., the weather was decent. But from Thurs. on it was cold, rainy and windy. But being the troopers we are, we trudged on! lol I'm glad that's over. It really kicked both our butts! I'm just now starting to get back into the swing. So as soon as we got back, I had to make the stuff for my next class, which I've got pictured. Another card class, as you can see. I love how these turned out. I did 2 acrylic cards. That's what I'm going to be sending out this year myself. The snowman, door card and stocking I cut out with my Pazzles. Have I told you before how much I love this machine?! I spent the day today cutting out stockings for the next show, which is in 2 weeks. So anyway, busy, busy, busy! After the next show, I have to start making my gifts. I do this to myself every year--wait til the last minute. But I'll get it done--I never miss a deadline!
My eating was horrible while I was gone! I started out doing pretty good for the first couple of days, then it all went right down the crapper! lol I didn't even try after that. I just ate all the good midwest comfort foods I wanted. It really did taste good, but I paid a heavy price for it. I packed on 9 lbs. while we were gone. How the heck can that happen in one week?! But....as soon as we got back home, I got right back on prgram and I think I've taken it all back off. Weigh in is tomorrow, so I'll find out and let you know. Wish me luck!
My foot has still been giving me fits. I'm going to PT for a few weeks. It really is starting to feel better. I really don't need to go anymore, I don't think. I ice it down at least twice a day, and do stretching exercises at least twice a day. They ice it down and rub some kind of corizone cream on it. They work it in with some sort of machine, tho. But...I'll continue to go 'til they tell me not to. I'm just glad my foot is feeling better. Sore feet make a bitchy Pam! :)

Happy Halloween, everyone! Watch out for flying monkeys and falling houses! :)

In the Pumpkin "Patch"

Isn't this cute?! I've wanted to get a pic of Dakota in the pumpkins and finally had the chance to do it at Sam's, of all places! The pumpkins were on a table and the corner had nothing on it, so I sat her up there and snapped this off. Turned out perfect, I think! I did the same thing with Katie, Kelsea and Jacob when they were much smaller. Only that time, we were at the grocery store. They had a ton of pumpkins outside, so I sat the kids up on them and starting snapping pics! I did the coolest layouts of them. I still have some of the same paper, so I'm going to have to do one of Dakota now! :)

WW went very well this week. I lost 4.2 lbs., for a total of 37.4 lbs.! I got another 5 lb sticker, too. Love the stickers! lol I have no clue what I did differently this week. Wish I knew so I could do it again! lol I only have 1 1/2 lbs. to go to meet a personal goal. After I lose this 1 1/2 lbs., I'll be where I was last year right before my surgery, and at my lowest WW weight, and I'll be rid of the almost 40 lbs. I gained after my surgery. Then I can really start losing weight! As of today, tho, I'm in a smaller pants size. That feels wonderful! It feels pretty good, too, to wear clothes that just hang off of me, but it does look a bit tacky. And it's tiring to have to keep pulling up my pants. Again, that's a nice problem to have for a change. But it felt good to wear a smaller size pant and not have to keep tugging on them. I keep telling you, WW is the way to go! :)

Happy Anniversary, Denny!

These are some ornaments I made for the craft show this Sat. I cut the snowflakes and names out with my Pazzles. Then I glittered the snowflakes and white parts. It's hard to see, but there's some blue bling in the center of the flakes. They turned out so cute! Now if I can just sell the other 20 I've made! lol
We celebrated our 32nd anniversary today! We didn't do anything special. I made dinner at home and made Denny a card, and he bought me a nice one. He always says the most beautiful things in his cards. I think he missed his calling--he could have been writing for Hallmark all these years! lol--We're actually going to be celebrating our anniversary in IA. We leave Sun. for family business. The last time we were up there, we got things ready for the estate sale. Now we have to clean it up, price it and we're having the sale Fri. and Sat. It's always a working vacation. One of these days I'd like to go up there without any obligations and just do what I want. Someday.....but anyway, we're going to take one evening somewhere along the way and grab a Harris Pizza--our fave!--and eat it on the way to Clinton and go to the new casino there. It's a land casino. I still haven't figured out how they pulled that one off. In the midwest, all the casinos are riverboats. I thought it was law or something, unless they were Indian casinos, which I don't think the new one in Clinton is. But I'm going to find out while we're there, because I'm just plain nosey! lol
WW went well last week. I lost 2.2 pounds, I think it was. I weigh in tomorrow, and am expecting another good week--if I don't blow it tomorrow! lol I got my 16 week charm last week, too. That's problably it for charms for a while. I think the next one will probably be the 50 pound charm. But I have about 15 more pounds to go for that. That's really not that far off, is it?! I guess I'm closer than I thought!
Happy Anniversary, Babe! I love ya, and here's to 32 more!

Do The Math

Here's the "after" pic as promised. I LOVE how this turned out! I used my Pazzles and cut out the heart flourish on the bottom and for the flowers. I then inked the flowers and sewed buttons on them. I love the flowers, too! I can't take credit for them, tho. I saw them in someone's Etsy shop. I've been going crazy making these little button flowers lately. I think they add a sweet little touch to the project. Of course, the middle is blank so a pic can be added! :)

In all my excitement over my "Sofa King" post yesterday, (and if you don't know what "sofa king" is, say it fast a bunch of times! lol ), I forgot to give a WW update. Well, last week, I lost 1 pound. I was happy about that. But I was even happier this week, 'cause I lost 2.6 lbs. which makes a total of 31! Yeah, me! I still have about 7 lbs. to go til I'm where I was last year when I had my surgery. As soon as I reach that goal, I'll really feel like I'm moving forward. But in the meantime, my clothes are getting baggy and that's such a good feeling. And...I bought 1 shirt that's a size smaller. I've got a few pair of jeans a size smaller that I can fit into, but not comfortably yet. By the time I lose the next 7 lbs. I should be there. So all the good vibes for me that I continue in this direction will be much appreciated. And I hope I can be some sort of inspiration for those of you that need it!

Have a good one! :)

"Sofa King" P'd!

Oops! Well, I guess it's been awhile since I've posted. Been pretty busy lately. Brandi and I are doing 2 craft shows this holiday. The first one is Nov. 1 here in Malden and the next one is Dec. 6 in Bernie. I'll post some pics next time of a piece or two I've done. I know what! I'll post a before pic of one of my projects and next time I'll post the after pic. I had gotten these frames at Hobby Lobby last year (it just so happens Tammy Tutterow had the same frame, so I borrowed her "before" pic) or so and just recently dug them up to do them for these shows. I love how they turned out! I've also picked up photo frames and altered them. Then again at HL I got some little cardboard stockings and santa hats and altered them. I glittered them up, stamped on them, and used my Pazzles to cut out snowflakes, and added a bit of bling to them. They're cute! I still have pocket calendars to do and a couple of clocks. We'll see if I get them done. And in between all this, I've managed to make a few surprises for Peggie (are you reading this, Peggie? lol ), taught 1 class, finished another project for the next class, watched Dakota while Ryan and Audrey are in the process of moving and help Mom a few hours 1 day a week at my uncle's house. Yep! I've been busy!

Then in between all this, I've been going to the podiatrist about once every 2 weeks. I ordered shoes almost 2 months ago and have yet to get them. My patience ran completely out and I had it out with the Dr.'s office staff! Needless to say, I won't be back there. I've already got an appt. at the end of the month with another dr. It's too bad, too, 'cause I really liked my dr. This was my day on Oct. 8--last Wed. (I copied and pasted this from a message board I'm on):

"I've had a crappy start today! First, some guy pulls out in front of me and then doesn't speed up. WTF? If you're in that big of a hurry to go, then go! On the way back home, an old man was passing from the other direction, and I had to go off on the side of the road to keep from getting creamed! I hate the way they drive around here!

But the topper--so far!--is this. I've been going to a podiatrist since July. I've got Achilles tendonitis in both feet, with bone spurs to boot. So my feet hurt horribly and I have a heck of a time walking. I've gone through at least 6 cortizone shots in my left foot and 1 in my right. I was wearing a night splint on the left foot just when I was sitting, since I can't walk on it. Now I'm in a little lace-up bootie that I have to wear with my shoes. I'm now eligible for new diabetic shoes and have been trying since August to get them. I STILL don't have them. I'm not a patient person in the first place, but I feel 2 months is plenty of time. The problem--at least one of them--is the gal that takes care of the shoes keeps giving me the runaround. When I first ordered them, she said it would take 2 weeks. AND...she didn't even measure my foot! She asked me what size I wore and took my word for it. OK...so that was my bad for not having her measure it anyway. I dealt with it. But guess what. When the shoes came in 2 weeks later, they were too big and too wide. She said that never happened to her before. Right! So she said she talked to the company and they were going to overnight them to her and she'd overnight them to me. That was a week ago Monday and guess what.... I still don't have them. So I called back last Thurs., 'cause she said I should have them by then and to call her and let her know I got them. So I call her Thurs. to tell her I still didn't get them. She said they were sitting there and she'd get them right out! Again...I still don't have them. So by now I'm pissed! I called her this morning and asked her where my shoes were and she said she'd check and call me back. Well, you guessed it...she didn't call me back. So I called her back 1 1/2 hours after I called the first time to find out she went to another clinic in another town! Can you believe it? So I get the office manager on the line, and what a B! OMG! Do you know what she said to me? She can't do anything about it. I asked to just look and see if they're there. So here's where I get really p'd! She said, What do you want me to do...calll her up and yell at her? You'll be here for your appointment Monday and you can get them then." I'm so ticked I'm just shaking! So I called my reg. dr. and told them what happened and told them to find me someone else, 'cause I'm not dealing with these people! All I want is my shoes. That shouldn't be too much to ask for. I told the office mgr. that and she told me I was the one making a big deal out of it! Unbelieveable!

Think I'll be "red marked" like Elaine on Seinfield as a trouble patient? lol "

I've calmed down since this, but it still irritates me. But on the bright side, the Dr. did take the time to call me back yesterday. I was surprised. I didn't think any of this would get past the office mgr. I told the dr. that I really liked him, but his staff sucked and didn't reflect him at all. Obviously, he's not going to get rid of his staff--but I told I'd come back if he did! lol--but he was going to talk to them, 'cause he had another complaint Monday about the office mgr. and he doesn't want his patients being treated crappy. So it's not just me that thinks she has an attitude! I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see how all that went down! lol In the meantime, the new dr. carries the same brand of shoes the old one does, so there's hope that I'll still get the ones I wanted in the first place. We'll see! :)

Scrap Pink

Tomorrow is the big Crop for a Cure event that our lss is having. This will be the 5th year Patti has done this. You can't even imagine what all goes into putting something like this on. I tried to think of something that I could do to help before the event. I've got back, knee and feet problems, so running around all over the place was out of the question. But I can sit very well! lol So I went up to the lss Wed. and stuffed the goody bags, then went and picked up a couple of donations. On the grand scale of things, it wasn't much. But I feel like I contributed a bit, and that made me feel good. Plus....I will be scrapping tomorrow, so I get to enjoy all the fun stuff she has planned--like the giveaways, lunch and supper--it's always a food-fest around here! lol--fresh baked cookies. There's even going to be a popcorn machine running all day! Plus there will be breast cancer awareness speakers. So all in all, a fun-filled day lies ahead! Click here and you can see the video that Patti and John were asked by Scrapbooks, etc. to be in. They were approached at one of the trade shows. Patti's little event raised about $3400 of the total that was raised and donated to the Susan G. Koman foundation. That's something to be proud of! Patti told me the other day, "You know....I can't donate $3400 by myself. But I can throw a fundraiser and together we can." So help support your own lss and Crop for a Cure! :)

Well, I dodged a bullit this week at WW. I stayed the same! Whew!!! I haven't been writing down my foods in my tracker, and I've been on a sugar free cookie kick. I've got to stop that! But good news. I got on the scale this morning and I'm unofficially 30 lbs. less! Now if I can just make it through the Crop tomorrow. Wish me luck! :)
This week's pic is of the class project I taught last Sat. It's a puzzle block. I loved doing it, but you really have to stop and think about what you're doing! I messed mine up several times! lol But at least by doing that, I was able to teach it correctly. There are pics on all 6 sides. I made my theme Oregon. All the pics are from when we lived out there. This particular one is a 5 generation pic taken out in our yard. We've all changed a bit since then! Katie's now 15, so that should tell you something! lol If you get a chance to do one of these, go for it! It's worth the aggrevation! :)

Grandparents Day

Isn't this pic cute? This is Denny and Jacob on Grandparents Day at school. We were invited to have breakfast with him, and visit for awhile before school. We had a glazed donut--which I find funny, since most of the grandparents are probably diabetic like Denny and me! lol--and our choice of milk. There was white, chocolate and strawberry. Denny and I chose chocolate, of course. If you're going to mess up, you may as well do it good! lol It was nice to go to school with him. And he seemed really pleased that we were there. We'll do this with him again next year, then that will be it. He'll be in Jr. High after that, and they don't care if the grandparents are there or not! lol
OH! While I'm thinking of it, check out Kathryn's comment from the post below. You CAN make changes to your layout after you've posted it. Thanks, Kathryn! :)
Well, we didn't weigh in last week. It was fair week, and they figured there wouldn't be any place to park, so they cancelled it. Kind of scary. I didn't know what my weigh in would be. I wasn't terribly bad, but I wasn't very good, either. You know the saying--while the cat's away, the mice will play. I did play a bit. But as I said, I wasn't TOO bad, 'cause I lost .6 pounds, for a grand total of 27.4! I'm almost to my key chain! I've already got the 25 pound charm to go on it. So unless I have a fabulous week this week, I should hit my goal in about 2 weeks! I'm so glad I'm doing this. It gets kind of hard sometimes, 'cause there's just so many good things to eat out there. But I'm not depriving myself TOO much. It's totally doable. So if any of you are on the fence about joining some sort of diet plan, I say try WW. You can eat whatever you want as long as you stay within your alotted points. And I suggest going to the meetings, too. For me, it just didn't work when I tried to do it by myself last year. I guess there's something about paying for it that keeps you motivated!

CropMom

You guys have got to try this! I made this digital layout of Mom and Dakota by using Kathryn Balint's new creation. Check it out here! All you have to do is sign up then log on and you're on your way to digi scrapping--the easy way! She has a bunch of her kits downloaded and you just start playing. For free. Read everything over carefully to get the full details. And remember--once you save your pic, it goes into the gallery for all to see. So you want to make sure you have it the way you want it. Don't freak out,tho--you can delete it if you want or need to. But there's no editing, so take that into consideration. After that, you can save a low-res image to put on blogs or whatever--like I just did. If you really like it and want to print it out, then she charges a fee for high-res quality--and the "cropmom" logo will not appear on it. So I say, give it a shot! Play with it and see what you think. I think it's a great way to practice digi scrapping. And you've got nothing to lose! :)

I had another good WW week this week. I lost 2 pounds, making it a total of 24.6 pounds! Next week I'll be at a 25 pounds loss and I'll get a sticker! We live for those stickers! lol This week I also hit my first personal mini goal. I'm back down to where I was when I joined WW last year. It still pisses me off that I put on 40--yep! count 'em--40 pounds after I had my surgery last year. But with this first mini goal, that means I only have 15 pounds to go to be where I was when I had the surgery. I figure anything I lose after that is bonus!

For Your Listening Pleasure

Like the music? I'm behind the times, I'm sure, 'cause I just found this while checking out some blogs. I love it! I had started downloading a bunch of music to my media center the other day. What a pain! I found this and have downloaded a bunch of songs! Songs I hadn't heard in ages. Fun songs. Goo Goo Dolls songs! I'm an eclectic type of person and that follows through in my tasted in music, too. So scroll down to the bottom of the page and check out my play list. You may want to snag a few for your own playlist! :)
See the pic? This is my newest fetish. I've always like buttons. I've got a ton of them for scrapbooking. But seeing this pic--and others I've found--just made me happy! So I've been on the hunt for buttons now, and I'm about to be overloaded with them. But I couldn't help myself when Denny and I went junking the other day. One place had 4 jars of buttons for $1 each. I held back tho, and only bought 2! lol Plus Mom gave me all of hers, so I have tons to separate--because I'm a bit Monkish--and clean. And remove the threads from. So much work. But they look so nice after I'm done. After I get done cleaning, etc., I'll go through them and sell a bunch of them. Who ever buys them will be getting a deal, tho, 'cause they'll be clean!
I did good at WW Tuesday. I lost 2.2 pounds for a grand total of 22.6. Yea, me! I'm surprised I'm not tired of doing this yet. But so far, so good. We've been going to the Chinese place lately and I've been getting steamed chicken and mixed veggies. Love 'em! And it gives me another place to go to. Restaurants are limited down here and I'm just not doing the fast food thing. Exception--I can get a thin crust personal pan Hawaiian at Pizza Hut for about 7 points. I add a salad to that and have an awsome lunch! At subway I get the 6" Subway Club for about 7 points. Works for me! Tonight I'm making "fried" chicken. Here's the recipe. Brandi says it's awsome, so I'll check it out!
Have a good one and watch out for the other guy this Labor Day weekend!

Clock Class

This is the class I'm teaching tomorrow. I love how this turned out! I had to tweek a bit from what is shown here, tho. The hands wouldn't move over the huge bling that I used! lol So I just changed out the big gold bling with little pink bling. It looks cuter anyway! We used a Heidi Swapp clock and number overlay. The paper is K&Co's Berry Sweet. Brandi had clock stamp, so I stamped them on a transparency and cut them out. It's hard to see, but I've got pink bling at each number. When I get this clock back after class, I think I'm going to add bling to each second, too! I think there were only 3 or 4 openings left on this one. Maybe one day I'll have a completely full class! :)
Weigh in was good this week. I lost 1.2 pounds, for a total of 20.4. And that's in 7 weeks! The last time I joined, I only lost 15 lbs. in 13 weeks! Did I mention how much I hated that class???! I love this one! It just helps when all your friends are doing it, too!

Digi Scrappin' Made Easy

Isn't this cute? It's a digi page I did of the grandkids and me on my birthday. Kathryn Balint has a new deal out that makes digi scrapping a breeze! She emailed me with the info and I signed up and got started right away! It was so easy and fun! I'll have to find out if it's ok to start sharing this yet. As soon as I do, I'll be posting this so you all can get started digi scrapping! You know you want to! lol
WW--I forgot to tell you how I did last week. I lost .8 pounds, for a grand total of 19.2! I wasn't very good on Sat. and Sun. of this week, so I'm going to have to work my butt off for a loss. You'd think surely I can lose another .8 this week, wouldn't you? I'll let you know Tuesday!

Road Trip!

This pic has nothing to do with the road trip, but I thought it was so cute of Dakota puckering up for Katie! lol She was a chocolate-y mess! lol
As for the road trip--Brandi and I made a trip to St. Louis Friday and went to For Keeps Sake. What an amazing store! I think we spent 2 hours in there and tons of money! lol They have so many neat things that our lss doesn't carry. Like these cool Tim Holtz scissors and his retractable craft pick, which I've already used! And I got these neat Heide Swapp felt flowers that are so cute. And paper! Being the paper whore that I am, I'll have to say that I was in heaven!lol I found Graphic 45 papers, Making Memories Spellbound and Cosmo Cricket's Cogsmo. I also picked up some Kaisercraft bling. These are cool and cheap! Oh! And I also got Melissa Frances' Girly Girl kit. Adorable! All this at the first store! Then we went to Archivers! OMG! This place is awsome! They had make and take stations set up. We had to visit 4 stations and then received a free gift--a small American Crafts journal book with a slick writer! We made the first card and Brandi bought the Sakura Gelly pen. These come 2 to a pack, so we split it. It's so cool! It's a glitter pen. It's so smooth and has an amazing effect. Then she bought the Fiskars Easy Stamp Press. I wish I had gotten one. Next time! And she got the stamp we used on our card. I ended up getting more paper, some embellishments and some buttons. It was a great scrapbook shopping day. I can't wait to go back!

Hybrid Scrapping

I guess I'm a hybrid now! lol This is the digi layout I did of Dakota and finished it off with some scrap paper and buttons. I like the end result here. I did her name with my Pazzles. I just happend to find a tutorial on "you tube" on how to do shadows. Sure makes a difference, I think. I'll probably be doing shadows on all names from here on out! lol
Don't forget to check out Kathryn Balint's site. She has some of the coolest retro kits. She's my fave! :) Her mother, Velma, has a neat recipe kit, too. I think that one may show up here prety soon!

Tuesday's Weigh In

Not a huge loss this week. Just .6 pounds, but that's fine by me! I'm now 18.4 pounds lighter than I was 5 weeks ago. I knew it wasn't going to be good, tho. I did really well between Wed., and Sunday morning. Then we went to the river. I ate too many hot dogs and had pizza after we left. Who could resist, right? lol But that's fine. Next week will be better!

Time to check in, Peggie! How did you do this week? Hopefully better than I did. All I can say is, stay away from the river! lol

Digi Scrappin'

This turned out cute! I've had this kit from Kathryn Balint (love her stuff!) for ages! I haven't done any digi scrappin' for a long time--and it shows! lol But I took this pic of Dakota finishing off her Daddy's ice cream cone, and knew I had to use this kit. I was just waiting for something special that would be deserving of both! I love to digi scrap, but there's so much to learn about it. I need to take more time to learn how to really do this right. Some day! :) What I've done here is very, very basic, but it was a fun kit to practice with.
I'll be back later with results from my WW weigh in. Cross your fingers for me. The weekend was tough!
