It's been pretty uneventful here the past few days. With the kids being gone, not a whole lot happens. Denny had Wed. off and we went and had lunch and bought a few groceries. I made this awsome chicken salad the night before, so I wouldn't have to cook Wed. night. I like mine with a lot of different stuff in it. I love the different textures all mixing together. So if you're not very adventurous, this may not be for you. I actually got this recipe from one of the message boards I'm on, and added more to it. Here--I'll give it to you. I start out with 2 boiled chicken breasts, then just add as much as I want of the rest of the ingredients:
2 boiled chicken breasts, deboned, and chopped
Craisins--a good handful
Raisins--1 small individual box
Green Onions--chopped
White Onions--chopped
Dill Pickle Relish
Slivered Almonds
Diced Celery
Miricle Whip
Brown Mustard--about a quarter's squirt
Just add these ingredients to your own taste. Use all of them, some of them, whatever. But I think the key to the whole recipe is the Craisins and the Dill Pickle Relish, and the Brown Mustard. I mixed it up the night before, and the next day--OMG! to die for! Hope you like it!
Thurs. was pretty much the same. Not much going on. I started working on a layout for Dakota. I'm using a couple of digi elements from my favorite digi designer, Kathryn Balint! If it ends up looking like anything, I'll post it when I'm done! I think I'm liking the idea of digital scrapping. Since I've never done it before, I don't know if it's true or not, but it seems to me you wouldn't have all the mess sitting around, no need for hand tools, tho I do love them! No need to go shopping at the scrapbook stores (lss), no need to buy the tons of paper that I do. Maybe I'd actually save some money. Denny would like that! lol But I suppose you could get a fortune wrapped up in buying the digital kits. In the words of Roseann Rosanna Danna, "it's always something"!

I have got to learn Photoshop! You have a good point on digi scrapping. Your LO's have been incentive to me to try this venture.

Pam, you know I have Photoshop Elements 2, so I'm happy to help you anytime. I don't use it very often, but I've played around with it a bit.
I have never made a paper layout in my life. In fact, I'm sort of scared of it. It's hard for me to imagine actually cutting paper or gluing it down. What happens when you change your mind? There's no "undo" button. Plus, if you cut a piece of paper wrong, then you've just wasted - what - 50 cents? - on that piece of paper and have go buy another.
The thing about the digital kits is that you can use them over and over. (See how I'm working on you subtly to go "digital?") I will say, though, I have so many kits that I have TWO external hard drives to hold them all. So I won't tell you it's cheaper than paper scrapping :)
